Intentional Conversations

The purpose and heart of Intentional Conversations (IC) is to offer every member/regular attender an opportunity to be involved in ministry.

When your passions, personality and spiritual gifts align with a ministry, you will be more likely to be energized, excited and self-motivated.

Ephesians 4:15,16 says, "Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love."

Step One:

You start by filling out a workbook. This workbook has five sections: My Passion, My Style, My Spiritual Gifts, My Servant Profile and My Next Steps. Each section is a little different. In some you will find open-ended questions to contemplate and answer. In others, you will find a survey to complete. The structured aspect of the workbook is not intended to hem someone into a ministry pigeon hole. On the contrary, it seeks to be an outline that will guide the IC leader into ministry ideas and discussion points.

Step Two:

Hand your workbook into the your IC leader through the church office.

Step Three:

Your IC leader will contact you to set up a casual conversation to discuss thoughts you had while completing the workbook and to work together with you to answer the "when," "where," "how" and "to what extent" of your ministry. If you are currently in a ministry role, this is a time to pause, search your heart and determine whether God is re-enforcing your calling or drawing you to a different area of ministry.

Step Four:

Your IC leader will walk with you through the process until you are engaged in ministry.
